In the same litter of kittens can each kitten have a different father - or is the same male the father of all?

Hi there... kittens can have more than one father within the same litter. It's not uncommon, but many people are not aware of the feline reproduction system is capable of accepting different sires.

Females only release eggs when the male mates with her (called induced ovulation), so that male fertilizes those eggs. Another male can cause her to release more eggs and fertilize those.

A cat can have kittens (the same litter) from different fathers. Its strange but true!

There can be more than one father per litter.
With cats it is more about the procreation of the race instead of the Toms bloodline.
The Tom actually lubes the Queen for the next Tom in line to breed.
Unlike Dogs where it is all about his bloodline.
