My sister doesnt like the way I talk.?

Is this not that I use foul language, but she says that I sound like a foreigner and wants me to get help to speak like an American. I am not an American so what I can I do?

Speak English so that you will be understood this is America and its society is made up of people of different cultures.

Well....is she american? How can she ask you to speak like an American. She has no right to tell you that you sound like a foreigner when she is not American herself. If you feel like you want to speak English better than thats your choice not hers.

Maybe because your trying too hard that it doesn't sound good anymore. Try asking your mom or dad if they're bothered by the way you speak, it might be that you're sister is the only one annoyed. If the feed back is the same, ask them how to improve it. Better so, keep practicing and ask for healthy criticisms. Good luck!!!!

if you are not an American then you are pronned to talk different with an accent so if you wanna to lose your accent then get speech lessons, but if you do wanna keep your accent tell you sister that you wanna keep your native speaking accent.
