How does a statue unite Christians?

Lana, I am not quite with you. What statue. There are so many statues it could be. I like statues. Christianity cannot be united over a statue but I think it can be expressed through art and literature. Why not? The only way people unite is if you attack them en mass. Christians would respond to some kind of affront more than an inanimate object. Don't you think?
