Well my dog is like 14 years old and for some strange reason he limps in the spring for about 2 weeks and then hes fine. We have taken him to the vet to get him check out and they said that it was just some bone problems but he will be just fine. But i think otherwise.

Older dogs do get arthritis - we had to give mine baby aspirin every day to help him with the pain. You can ask the vet about giving an aspirin a day when the limping starts.

Almost all the previous answers tell you that it could be arthritis or some bones problem. Perhaps it is so and obviously it has to do with your dog´s age. DO NOT GIVE HIM ASPIRIN unless your vet prescribes it because human medicine could be VERY AGGRESSIVE to dog´s stomach and could have a severe gastritis. There are some medicines like "metacam" but it has to be dosified and the ammount increased little by little depending on your dog´s weight. So go to the vet and do not leave your poor dog suffer pains. He would give his life for you, so he deserves all your love and attention and care specially now that he is old.GIVE him a Kiss from me.

Find a Dog Food which will increase your dogs Calcium which will strengthen it's bones.
Also alittle oil every now and then on their food will not only premote a shiney coat but will lubricate their joints.
Could be more of a joint problem rather than bone. Like humans who can forcast the weather with their bodies dogs can be the same.

Get him some glucosamine pills. He probably has arthritis and for some reason he gets flare ups in the spring. Put him on glucosatimine now and I'll bet he won't have a problem next spring.

It could be the sudden change in weather. This happens to my 11yr. old dog every time the weather changes by about 20 degrees.
