I just recently got custody of my granddaughter. She is polluted with lice. Can anyone tell me what to do. I washed her hair in Nix, also in flea and tick shampoo. I comb her hair daily and still can not get rid of them. can someone please tell me if there is something else I could use that works. Thanks everyone in advance.

Qwell I believe it's called, go directly to the Pharmacist at any drug store including CVS, Walgreen etc and ask them what's most popular. They can be very helpful! Good Luck!

Keep using Nix, and the little comb. After you shampoo her hair blow dry it on the hottest heat setting she can stand. Spray your home down, boil all her brushes and combs in water, and keep washing all blankets and clothes she comes in contact with until your Rid of the problem. Oh, or you can try Rid. Another lice treatment. I had to deal with the same problem.

Wash her hair with special lice shampoo. Wash anything her head touches (clothes, pillows, etc.) daily. Also buy a special lice comb and comb through her hair daily, section by section. Also go to the doctor for more information and treatments.

RID could have completed the trick in case you probably did it wisely. Are you leaving it on long sufficient... are you thoroughly utilising the brush via her hair? you're able to confirm you regulate all mattress linens too and spray the pillows and the mattress with the spray that is composed of the kit, wash linens in warm water, clean her hairbrushes too with the answer, and you're able to confirm and do a followup medical care in 10 days, merely like it says to do. additionally, it particularly is recommended to envision along with her college, if she's at college, and discover out in the event that they are conscious if lice has been going around. they do no longer do "head exams" anymore in colleges and you'd be greatly surprised at how many childrens bypass to college with lice!

i had teh problem when i was younger ..my mom used to crush mothballs and mix them with water..then put on gloves and part her hair every inch and rub the water in her head..do this until you run out of hair to part and cover it with a shower cap..you can also buy those lice combs , they also work out..and go to walgreens they have this really good formula thing that kills ALL of them .. i hope that helps and wish you guys good luck and from now on when she washes her hair make sure it is COMPLETLEY dry before tying it up...because wet hair starts to smell bad which attracts more lice.. Good luck and i hope this helped :)

The nix usually works fine but you also have to wash anything she's in contact with also. In the hottest water possible. This includes pillows, blankets, stuffed animals etc.......

Use the Nix again, but wash all of her bedding and clothing.

what i did is put a whole bunch of vaseline, as much as you can, into your hair. put on a plastic head wear thing, and put a hat on. leave it on for 3 days (she'll have to stay home from school). then wash it out with dish cleaner, it will be hard to do but it works!

ice slush.
ammonia, doctors say work.
but its way too powerful.
you could use it though, & dillute it alitte,
with water..
but i say ice slush.
i'm black, but my friend is white.
& she had a lice problem.
her mom found ice slush,
and coated her scalp with it.
lice hate the cold, her doctor told her.
or put grease on her hair.
thats what i saw on the internet.
it works! BOTH OF THEM.
