Powerful religious women seem to be a threat to the male-oriented religions. Why is this? Even in the "DaVinci Code," a work of pure fiction, one of the things that upset people was the idea that the Holy Grail was Mary Magdalene's womb. Why is the sacred feminine so scary to so many? Not just men--women seem to have just as much of an aversion to it.

One wonders how fervently you'd embrace your Bible if it said that men were subservient to women.

Most religious systems are controlled by men. So that is their reason for not liking this, power and control is threatened. The other women who voice the same thing have identified with their 'oppressor', the men, and parrot the same attitudes.

Watch me get some thumbs down for this one.

It wasn't the "sacred femininity" in The daVinci Code that people had a problem with. The problem was that Brown attempted to pass parts of the book off as fact, despite proof to the contrary.

jesus never could have been married because mary could not have been able to deal with the fact that jesus was always right.
the bible does not say women are subservient to men but that both yokes should be even.
the problem with feminism is that it empowers women to fight for equal rights, while they still embrace a world of double standards, in turn becomes "equal rights but with priveliges." its like demanding backpay from someone who is not obligated to give it to you.
by all means women and men should be equally yoked. i do have a problem with women who use their status as women to manipulate men who want nothing more than to make her happy. in turn we have demonized the meaning of being men. all men want is for women to make them feel like a man. this does not mean that women should be subservient.

Women have their place in this world just as men do. Women make men whole. The "Da Vinci Code," is a work of pure fiction and therefore has no relevance. Sacred femininity has its place in the convents, just as men's sacredness has its place.

Well, everybody just always lean on their mothers for their needs, on troubleshooting, on household chores, on love, on caring and in every family, most of us listens from our Moms. Women have the heart, the understanding, the time. It's just in this world, men have been so busy while women have been invading underneath!

For the record, the most powerful speaker I have ever seen was a woman. Pastor evelyn, a born Jew turned Christian.

G-d would not give gifts that are meant to go unused. I also love Joyce Meyer. Imagine if she was silent?

Blessings to you

.because the ancient Pagan cultures treated their women equally.

and this scared the men from outside cultures

so they had to find some way to make it wrong in more than just their eyes.

Because women don't need to be thinking about feminism as it creates too many problems in the country. Look what happened to the USA when you started having feminists get ideas into their heads. Look at the Muslim feminists being brainwashed into thinking Islam oppresses women. It's cause of the USA is putting ideas into these Muslimah's heads.
