what is the average age that a cat lives until?

our cat is nearly 19 and shows no sign of ill health or age, I was just wondering how long a cat usually lives until. Is 19 old for a cat?

I have had 2 cats in my life. One lived to be 22 & the other lived to be 20. They both did start showing signs of kidney disease though at about the age of 19. Make sure you are feeding a quality food & that your cat drinks plenty of fluids. Good luck!

19 is very old for a cat. I had one cat that lived to be 23. She was blind and deaf but still the ruler of the house. She was otherwise healthy until the day she died. She just laid down in the dog crate curled up on a blanket and went to sleep forever.

You obviously take great care of your cat that it is 19! Good job!

13 or 14 years yes it is old for a cat but that just means your cat is very healthy and keep taken care off her the way you do and maybe shell live even longer

Early or mid teens is average for a cat, but it's not unheard of for cats to live into their late teens or even 20's. 19 is old for a cat but if he's healthy and happy, more power to him! >^..^<
