It is because of the Hindu's are in majority, India is still a secular state..look at her neighbours, look at all those countries with muslim majority, and you won't find a single state which is secular to religion's or does not have an official state religion.

India and its people are far more mature than a lot of the other countries of the world put together. Imagine a secular state of 1 billion people..!!

State secularity need not have anything to do with the number of people who practice a religion. Turkey is 99.8% Muslim, but still has a secular government. Vietnam is something like 80% atheist, and they're also secular. India can remain secular with or without a Hindu majority.

No, India wouldn't have been secular had Hindus not been the majority. The example given in the previous comment is just one of the isolated cases but if you take countries like Libya, Yemen, Pakistan or Malaysia, these are all Islamic countries.
