I enjoy naming my pets different names or commonly used names. For instance, my dog's name is Claudette (claw-det, something different), and my cat's name is Billie (Very obvious).
My aunt has Great Danes and she names the boy dogs after gods, which is pretty cool! Their names are Zuse and Thor. The Girls Are Named Gaia And Gypsy. Here are some good girl names, Airmid, A Goddess That Brought the dead back to life; Branwen, A Goddess of Love and Beauty; Claudia, or Kim.
Boy names, Llyr, A God of Water and Seas; Brono, The Son Of Balder, the god of daylight; Pierre; or Mikey.

Coo =3 I think it's the cutest name~! XD

Other than that:

Bear
Berry (for grays)
Boo (for grays/blacks and shy ones)
Bubbles
Bun Bun
Chomel (CUTE!!! XD Means "cute" in Malay)
CoCo (for browns)
Courage ("Courage the cat")
Crash (for the clumsy ones)
Dog ("Dog the cat")
Felix ("Felix the Cat." Classic for blacks. Or you can try Fenix)
Flaafy (for longhairs)
Flash (shy ones, or F1 racers ^_^)
Garfield (classic for oranges)
Gato (means cat in Latin, I think)
Gatsu
Gingerbreadman (oranges)
Gomu Gomu (longhairs. From One Piece)
Hunny
Hunter (for those that like mice)
Iara
Jake
Kebab (for longhairs)
Kimchi
Kookie Monster
Kreature (or Krecher, if you prefer the spelling as in Harry Potter)
Kuromaru (blacks. Means "black one" in Japanese, I think)
Lara (for adventurous females. Heheh ^_^)
Mew (rather than Meowy, which sucks, no offence)
Mickey ("Mickey Cat." Cute! XD)
Mr. Bojangles (dark males)
Neko-chan (means "cat" in Japanese)
Nightshade (blacks)
Orange (oranges. Duh!)
Shadow (blacks)
Snuffles (if it sniffles a lot, like my friend's cat)
Sookie (female longhairs)
Sushi (white longhairs)
Taro (male longhairs)
Teddy
Toffee
Tonton (longhairs. Means "piggy" in Japanese, I think)
Truffles (dark browns)
Vermillion (oranges)
Wuzzles
Yossarian (adventurous males. From Catch-22 ^_^)
Yummy (for... Have a guess... LMAO XD)
Zara

Think up names from foods. I suggest getting a cake/dessert recipe book, and find the ones you think sound delicious, LOL =a Don't eat the cat, though XD

Another method is to pronounce the names over and over (three times is enough). If you like the way it feels in your mouth, then that's it! You want really short names like Truffles, or really long names like Gingerbreadman. LMAO XD This is funny, I've never ever had a cat before!

Personally, I'd name my cat Coo. I find it nice to say ^_^ C'mere Coo!
