I like the one you have picked out already. If i were the one getting it,I would have her name inside the heart, and a message written below (Exp:always with us,Loving sister...)
I would have it colored with colors she liked and maybe add something she liked....butterflies,flowers,or maybe a favorite pet sitting nearby. Just remember a tattoo is permanent,so be sure you like it before you have it done :) I also look at pictures of tattoos online to get ideas. Good Luck!!!

Honestly, only you can decide what best represents your deceased twin. You should consider a tattoo permanent and think long and hard before going under the needles.
Unless this design and the tattoo itself is something you have wanted for a long time, I would wait and think about it, and search more designs or have one custom-designed for you.
Also consider your pain tolerance and budget - a design in color will probably take more than one sitting, and most artists outline everything first, then fill in. Color costs more than just black.
If you still have your heart set on getting a tattoo, then go to the shop you are going to have it done at and look through the artists work. Most Tattoo artists have a book of "stock" tatts - designs they frequently use or with minor tweaking can be made into a custom design. They may also have pictures of actual tattoos they have inked. Make sure the artist does quality work before putting your skin under their needles!

i agree with ^^^^ try not to get a trendy tribal tattoo. Those after a few years wont look as hot (unless you are from an actual tribe which i know you arent). Get something with meaning to you. Look around a lot, go to different tattoo shops and look at what they have, so you can get a general idea of something that calls to you each time you visit a shop, there will always be one kind of tattoo that will stay in your mind, and thats the one you most likely should get. If not, maybe it will give you an idea of one you can think of on your own, your own design would be even hotter

don't listen to the people who are saying not to get a tattoo. a tattoo is a wonderful and beautiful way to remember someone you lost. even if you never knew them. if you're planning on getting a portrait do keep in mind that not every artist is good at portraits and you'll want to do some research to make sure that your artist is good at whatever style tattoo that they do. just because someone is a tattooer doesn't mean that they are an artist and doesn't mean that they are talented. good luck!!

I think that is a great idea. Since she (?) is identical and at one time you were 1 that turned into 2 maybe half a pic of something. Like half a heart, or a rose half open. Shawna = "God is Gracious" Nichole = "Victory of the People".
Maybe that will help

if you already have a picture handy take it with you. lots of tattoo artists are great at copying from actual photos. take it to a few places and have them sketch it out first and go with the one you like best.

just be careful about the tattoo on lower back, especially if you want children in the future. it was talked about on news few months ago. just mentioned if you needed the epidural during child birth, believe me, you will want one.
i think its a good idea. it would be nice if the idea came from you, not someone else in this case.

I think it looks nice, I dont have tatoo's but my children do, remember its for life and once committed make sure you go to a tatooist who has a good reputation and uses new needles per client.

I think it would be really cool to get two hands, like holding eachother, one with a small heart on it, don't put words, because time makes them look ugly and distorted.

You already shared a womb and you share parents and family and a birthday - would make a memorial on your body - twins have a bond like no other am told, she knows you think of her and is loved!
