Especially for christians....... If you say that he was always there and quote the words "I AM." in the beginning of the bible then why don't you believe in the big bang theory.... All these people going around here saying that god has always exsisted nobody created him he was always here..... why can't you believe that earth was created from the sun and somehow came into being because that is almost the same reason you provide for god. You say he was always here and nobody created, he just came into being..... it just doesn't make sense to me.... NO OFFENSE TO CHRISTIANS.... I am just curious who created god?

Early humans created the idea of a god to help them understand the world around them.

your question is a valid question, as scientists, philosophers & theologians throughout the ages have devoted their entire lives trying to answer that question & similar questions, such as who created the universe, etc. etc. (so you are not really giving offense to Christians or any other people of faith).

everybody have asked similar questions, so it is good that you are asking that... but the answer is that nobody really knows for sure...

there is an argument that has several names, among which is the "argument from first cause"... & it argues that a first cause must exist... some people do call that first cause God (which entails that "God" doesn't require a cause)

so if all these doesn't make sense to you... do not be upset there a lot of people just like you

An interesting question....

While all religions (christianity, islam, hinduism, buddhism etc) have God as a center piece, it is worth noting that all religions are afterall man-made.Therefore, from that perspective, God is figment of human imagination.

Try answering this question from the perspective of animals and plants. Do they have their "God"???? Well, we have no way of knowing that.....except that we continue to argue about God from our "human" perspective, irrespective of the religious background we believe in.

An argument in various religions, which is often overlooked is, that, humans are one of the creations of God and that the human experience is imperfect in nature. Hence, despite being deeply religious, one may not be capable of defining (and you can forget experiencing) God.

It is only and only by pure, unselfish devotion (accepting one's imperfections) that one can hope to be with God. Ask a dying person on roadside (or even a dog, cat etc who needs help) and for them, God is one who reaches out to help without any motives. There can be no analysis when you are devoted.

No wonder not everyone is a saint...and also the saints that exist...only God knows the Truth!!!

Why is it hard for you to believe that God has always been? He is the beginning and the End- the Alpha and Omega as it says in Revelation.

The Big Bang Theory- honestly is ridiculous. I believe in what the Holy Bible says- I know it is God's word and just by looking outside I KNOW God created everything- that there was indeed a Creator. I know it is hard for you to understand that God has always been- because something always comes from something else....But there has to be a beginning right? And that is GOD! Praise be to Him!!

How I think is that 'time' is something that God created, and that is how He has always existed.
With regards to everything else, at least Christians and atheists can agree that there was a beginning to everthing. It's just did God start it, or did it start itself.

Why does it seem reasonable to you that inanimate matter could exist by itself and explode into an ordered universe, but a being called God , infinite in wisdom and power could not exist by His own wisdom and power? I believe in God because I believe the declaration of God in a collection of writings called the Bible, which begins with this statement: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth", and then goes on to describe how He did this. But mainly I believe in God because one day when I was fed up with my notion of who this god is, told this god to get out of my life, and my life began to become a living hell. Then, when I was at my lowest, this God disclosed Himself to me as the One who sent His Son to die on a cross for my sins. I now live in a love relationship with this God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and have lived in peace with Him for over 35 years.

All you have to do is read the answer to a previous question which was, "describe your God".

Clearly (by the wide variety of answers to this simple question), it is up to the individual to create their own God.
