I don't want to leave anyone important out..
my question:

Just find out who is going to get you 1 and then you know who to buy for, & im sure you have a really cheap shop that sells good quality stuff just buy stuff from there & make sure you take the labels of! Or you could just but something you know they all would like & buy the same thing 4 all of your friends just in a different colour or something!

I had this problem several years ago. What I did was get things that came in sets and split the sets up. For example, at Walmart sometimes you can find gift sets of bath stuff. You simply open the set and split up the different things. Maybe you give one person the scrubby and the shower gel, another person can get the bubble bath and wash cloth. This is of course easier if the friends are girls, but you can do the same with guys too just use different sets. You can get a set of nice coffee mugs from a department store or a clearance center, and split them up and put Christmas candy in them. That way you aren't really giving them a "cheap" gift as long as you use your money to buy nice sets.
You would be surprised how nice of a gift you can give when you just learn to look at sets of things with new eyes ~ good luck!

Gift cards are easy, you choose the amount that fits your budget. Even a $5 gift card to Starbucks is appropriate and appreciated. I have heard that the major discount retailers are doing a price war this year - so check out the advertisements. Gift baskets revolving around a theme are a great way to give many presents in one gift and many of the components could be found at dollar shops and resale stores. If they are girls, many times Avon distributors sell some very nice - and affordable items that you can buy small bottles of like lotions, candles, bubble bath, etc...I've put together small bags of Avon items before and they sell alot of things inexpensively through their catalog in their specials.

I suppose that the real answer lies in the amount of cash or lack thereof you have. A fairly cheap (inexpensive) method is to make something that is unique to you that your friends would appreciate. ie buy some funky bottles and make some herbal olive oil. Total=probably 25 bucks in total, but looks like you spent way more.
If you are super broke you can always make up cards like 1 free baby sitting-/dog walking-/personal slave for a day type cards these tend to go over well with the relatives/friends. LOL

Shopping is a breeze if you don't try to give everyday items such as clothes, jewelry, and bath products. The best thing to do is to find what their interests/hobbies are and work from there. You would be amazed at what you can find for very little. For example, if a friend loves to cook, buy them an apron with their name embroided on it. They will charish this forever. Also go online to "Things Remembered" they have great gift ideas for less.

I got it... I gave this to a few of my closest friends... I told them they could re gift it if they wanted to...None of them ever gave that gift box away. You buying or get little boxes and then you wrap them - and make little notes that the box has the inside something that when you give it away you get twice as much back .... you can make the little card up as you wish .. the whole idea is the little box is filled with "love" I wish I was not so tired tonight I could think better I what I wrote on my little card attached to the little box... it was a huge hit with my friends

Honey, visit you local dollar store, there they have picture frames, vases, jewelry and more, which you could purchase and alter the gift a little by adding a bow and some Rhine stones to funk it up...You may also do the same for a cheap pair of jeans, get you friends sizes and get some some glue and attach the Rhine stones your self...hope this helps you.

Bye now,

Last year I took a bunch of stuff that I had in my house that was in good shape, journals, an oak shelf, candles, decorative items, etc that I didn't need anymore. Even some books, tapes and CD's. I put them all out on a blanket and my friends took a number.

Then we went according to their number and they could choose anything they wanted. We kept going around until we ran out of items.

Everyone enjoyed it. And none of us feel it makes sense to spend money giving each other more "stuff."

i have found that craft stores are a god-send. they sell little nick-nacks that you can "personalize" with either paint or stain or other decorations, and they show that you've taken the time and consideration out of your busy schedule for each person you've created these gifts for. around here in michigan, the best craft store i know of is "Michael's." i don't know if they're national, but you could go online and check that. silk flowers are very inexpensive, as are the little filler items like grass, peat moss, beads, etc., and there are very many varieties to baskets and vases available at these stores. good luck to you!!
