Some blue jays will migrate others don't its actually a little odd in that a bird may overwinter up north one year and the next migrate south, or a portion of the population may migrate while the other remain. It's not actually known why this happens, why they migrate when they due, as they may migrate even tough there is ample food. A bit more on this site.

Actually Blue Jays DO migrate, but in most of the United States we see them all winter. What is happening is ones from the north are replacing the ones that you have in the summer. I have seen large groups of jays flying over in the fall heading south. People think they stay put because they look alike.
So, you will have jays around all winter, just not the ones that nest there in the summer. Jays enjoy peanuts a lot, so you can put out unsalted peanuts in the shell and they will love you for it! They also like sunflower seeds, which are good for a lot of birds. Jays are members of the corvid family which includes crows and magpies. They are extremely intelligent. Enjoy them!

despite the low attendance at games. The team is still a major asset to the company that owns it as they have all assets to the team including the stadium and what not. The jays along with the cubs are the only 2 teams that have no debt what so ever. Also jays market is not only Toronto but all of Canada as they are the only team in Canada. So they make a ton of cash in tv contracts. Despite their low attendance, the company who owns the team end up making a good profit at the end of each quarter just by owning the team.

Yeah they will stick around, also keep some water around for them. You should be able to find a heated bird bath.
