Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. Your doctor would probably say go back at six weeks- that's for your own personal health and recovery. As for what is best for you and your child, I would say delay it as long as possible. If you really need to work for financial reasons then just stay home with her as long as you can, but if you can swing it, try to find another way to get the money you need like doing a work-at-home job or just really stretching your husband's income. Of course if you can't then you can't and if you have to work then just go back as late as possible.

Well, you might change your mind once you seeing that gorgeous little mite running around having a lot of fun with your mum. Why not sit back and enjoy her for a little while. It will do you both good.

Re the childcare, she doesn't need childcare that early - why not leave her with your mum for a few years. Less stress on you and your daughter and your mum gets to enjoy her delightful little company.

Sounds good to me! It's great that you have family support, and I fully agree with your plans on putting your daughter in daycare - it's good for her socialization. Have fun with your baby!

Don't rush to put your child in the care of others. The most important job a parent has is raising their children. While you are at school taking care of other children who will be raising yours?
Enjoy the time you have with your little one.

I would say that if you need to work go back as soon as you are comfortable doing so. It sounds as though you have already made up your mind.
