According to the Ruger website, the M77 Mk2 Standard has an MSRP of $695.
I have yet to pay MSRP for a firearm, even one with limited availability like the Sako.
I would check out the following two websites to see what the going rate is for a Ruger M77 in the model you are looking for:

You can usually get them from $550 to $600 at gun show

In its least expensive configuration, you should expect to pay $700.00 for it new.
The price can double depending on what options or grade of materials are chosen.
It is an excellent rifle and will provide a lifetime or two of great service.
