everynight whenever we settle down he jumps on us and just goes insane with licking us if we puch him away he just comes right backj what shouls we do?

YES!!!!! I am nottrying to be mean at all. I have a beagle ansd so does my best friend and he licks us constantly!!!!! It is just what they ddo to show that they love you. Beagles are really friendly dog so they like to show their owners how much they care.

OMG! lol, my baby Scottie does the same thing. He is a Beagle too. They seem to be very loving towards anybody! So, be loving back. Get on the floor, and play with him. Give him a toy, and play with that with him. Scottie always give us kisses, and wants to sit right next to us. Sometimes, he sleeps with me, and he has to be like right next to me. When I don't want him to do this, I gently say " Socttie, no no, and pick him up, and put him on the floor. When he is beginning to jump up again, I say "aaa.aa" kinda loud, I know it sounds silly, but the trainer at pet's mart told me to say it, and it works!

my dogs sleeps with us, and also licks us it is a real pain i just keep pushing her away. It must be normal because alot of dogs do it.

Since I let my dog lick me, she licks me all the time. Dogs lick because they enjoy the taste of your skin, it tastes salty!

This is completley normal...my dog does it too. I wouldn't punch your dog though even if he gets a little crazy =D

When you push him back his reaction is to come toward you,,, right,,,, well.. pull him toward you and see what happens.

just try and discipline it not to lick
you all the time if it bothers you.
