Instead of tomato pasta sauce, use olive oil, garlic, oregano and fresh basil and a sauce, drizzle this over pasta.
This is one of my fave pasta dishes!

I like to reduce stewed canned tomatoes and add lots of garlic and basil, simmered with hot italin sausage and wine with red peppers. blacken peppers in oven then remove skin, chop and add to sauce. Serve over penne noodles.

In the superstore, fruits are usually picked out much too soon. Some are rocks, many are bitter. Some of the fresh vegetables are generally right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.

Cold. Warm. Warmer, hot. Steaming. Scorching. Poisonned.
Basically, get creative. I used to give a hoot about cooking books until I decided to experiment. And remember if they don't like it, they don't have to come back. Ever.
