yep, the telly is always drekk on Saturday nights. That's because the advertisers arent interested in beaming their messages into your brain. They've already bled you dry for sugary cereal and barbies so they know you've got no cash left. The people with babysitters or no kids are all out getting bladdered. The telly will pick up when they stagger back from the pub, but by then you'll be crashed out because you've got to get up and start over at 7am. So go and have a peek at your sleeping kid or kids cos they're worth a million dull saturday nights. Then log on to Broadband radio and listen to all the great programmes you missed during the week! I'm listening to the Russell Brand show (Radio 2) I missed earlier tonight when I was doing the washing up!

You are not alone. There is plently of people here to prove that.
I always say that I am not going to sit at home another Saturday night by myself, but I always do. So, here I answer questions to other peoples problems just like you.

The kids are gone to a birthday party. The husband's biker group meets on Saturday nights. So, I am home alone but for the dogs and the cat. I could do many things like put up the Christmas tree, read a good book, or watch a movie of my own choosing, but it's no fun when the bored is forced upon you. I like to escape to the tv or book, not have to do so I wouldn't go crazy from the silence of the house.

Good question! Maybe you need to start a "boring Saturday night club" I would definietly join.

God bless us all...............

invite some one round in the same position for next saturday, one of your kids friends mum and dad, or an old friend have a few drinks and some nibbles. put some music on and light some candles thats what we have done and saturday nights are a little better now, and we have made some new friends.
its a pain to begin with and some people that you invite are a little boring, but you will soon get the right people who will creat the right atmosphere and transform your saturday nights!

You need to get on your knees and thank God that you still have family around you. Board? Maybe they are too so why don't you come up with something to make some family moments you can share. These things will be all you have left when your family is gone. Children grow up and live lives of their own. No matter how much you love your mate can die at any time. Last year this time I had family that were driving me crazy. This year I wish I had that craziness around me again instead I am all alone this year and wishing for what I had just one year ago. Stop thinking of anything stupid and count your blessings while you still have them.

I do believe there are people like u out there. Me for one!!!!

I aint married but i do have a kid and i hate friday and saturday nights, as im a single parent i live on a very tight budget. I can afford to go out but i dont its the guilt thing!!! If I go out and spend £60 on a night out i think to myself that money could buy my daughter a new coat, shoes, or i could save it and take her on holiday. So i end up stuck in and bored!!!! Just like u!!!!

So spice up your Saturday nights. You dont have to be single to have fun. Trying taking the family out for pizza or movies or ice skating or have a family game night........better yet have a family friendly party........tis the season.

Or get a sitter for the night and take the spouse out for a little
couples fun..........get a hotel room and go to dinner, have drinks, go dancing. Do what you did when you were dating.

Well said the above.

It sounds like you are a lazy bum and need to get out and do things with your family... It doesn't have to cost much... I don't pity you I'm afraid. (Light harted banter)

An evening trip to the seaside if you have one near, watching the waves crashing in at night, smelling the sea air, wrapped up warm. A few goes on the tuppenny pushers...

I used to love going out at night when I was a child. It felt like a privilege and appreciated my parents taking me.
