i think as long as you remember where you met her it should be ok. many people who meet on line do so for a reason and very often it is not just you that they are chatting with. it depends on how honest they are with regard to their 'other' life.
i have met people off the net and although very fond of them, didnt find it was a great basis for a relationship. my friend once found herself in bed with someone who had HIV, had no idea because she had formed such a bond with him on line!
however my nephew has just got engaged to someone he met on the net.
go for it but be careful! good luck!

give it a try, or you'll never know. my current boyfriend and I have been together for just over 2 years now and we are great. Would have never met him if it wasn't for the online dating sites. We spoke for nearly 2weeks via email and then for another 2weeks on the phone every night for 3 hours at a time before we ever met. and I wouldn't change what we have for the world. He lives about an hour and a half away from me and sometimes only get to see each other 1 or 2 times a month but communication and understanding has kept us strong. some talk about marriage and living together and engagement has been talked about but no rush. we both have been married once before and now divorced and he has a 8 year old daughter.
I had to weed thru alot of weirdos on the net before I found him(2years) but it was worth the waiting for. so give it a try, what do you have to loose? talk alot and be up front and honest. good luck

If you are not going to meet girls in real life, there is no point in being on a dating website. The whole idea is to find someone to date or have a relationship with. I met my boyfriend online. I dated different guys the for almost a year, then met him and we've been together for a year. I think it's a great way to meet people, especially if you are not so much into the bar scene.
Good luck!

On line dating can work, but that will depend on the person you meet on line. I have had an on line friendship with some one for a few years, I did not expect it to work for me, because I am in the USA and he is in Greece.Neither one of us have a desire to travel to see the other, we use the web camera. There are many others I know where the relationship has worked. If you have nothing to lose, give it a chance, it is much like a blind date, if you do not live to far from each other.

Yes it has and she is great......from her point of view I am but Im sure she is wrong about me....Go for it, unless you meet her you will never know...meet somewhere public, between your homes so that if it isnt right you can part on even terms....If you dont meet you will never know and could end up with a lifetime of regrets, I met a girl 22 years ago and lost touch, the internet has bought us together again and we both regret having lost contact.

I met my current boyfriend online. I started talking to him on the internet in the beginning of august, started talking to him on the phone mid. september and met him beginning of october. We have been dating since oct. 6th and its going really good. We talk every day on the phone and internet. We drive to see each other. We live almost 3hrs apart, and we spend long weekends by each other when i'm not working weekends. If it wasn't for the internet i wouldn't have met a really great guy.

Worked out fine! The hourly rate was a bit expensive though. Shop around!

I could never make it past the women's profiles in the free sections. They either have too high of expectations in their ideal match, or they complain about mind games. I don't believe in these sites for myself.
