I had the same problem...none of the medication my vet gave me was working. I finally found something that works, it's called Zymox, and you can buy it on amazon.com. My dog hasn't had a flare up since I put it in his ears two months ago...what a huge relief. Good luck!

how long ago did the vet give you the meds? and are you following the directions correctly as stated on the meds? sometimes a yeast infection in dogs ears can take a little longer to clear up. did the vet give you something to clean the ears with also? what kind of dog do you have? if you have a dog with floppy ears that close off air circulation to the ear canal take tape, cloth tape, and tape the dogs ears up for a few hours a day so air can get in. or use a hair scruntchy. call you vet on monday and check with them if this isn't clearing up any better. did they also prescribe oral antibiotics? hope this helps and good luck

For people, yeast in the ears can be controlled with half and half solution of white vinegar and warm water. Should work for a dog too. Just irrigate the dogs ears with it twice a day. I can't think of any reason it would hurt the dog.

Give it a few days to work and if it has been a few days call the vet and let him know it is not working, maybe he can give your dog something else or just take your dog back and see what he says.

You are supposed to clean them everyday with the medicine...
some dogs just have routinely yeasty ears (specifically floppy eared dogs) and must stay on ear cleaners for the rest of their lives
