Why Do You Feel You Have The Right???

Question

Why do mormons and christians feel they have the right to knock at your door and try to 'sell' you salvation?What do you normally do when this happens to you? Is it ok to throw water or other foods at them?is it ok to invite them in and slip xtacy in their water?

its not that they feel they have a right, its they feel they have a mission,,, its a core part of their religion,,,,,, and its not mormons and christians, its some christian faiths,,,,, a simple no thank you as you close the door is all thats necessary,,,,,,, and its probably people like you, with your wacko comments, that really fuel them to think they need to save the world !

The reason why Christian feel it's their right to talk about salvation( You won't have been able to afford it. you can't sell it because it has already being paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ) is because they care for you and they want to see you go to heaven. But hey if you like you can ignore them like you said and see where you land when your little days on earth are over. Either you know it or not, God is coming and there will be a judgment day where you will stand in front of him and tell him what you've done with your life and why you never accepted him as your Lord and savior. Don't say you didn't know because you were giving a chance to know him but decided not to.

If you really do the second thing you were wondering about, I want to come proselytizing at your house. I used to argue with them about why their particular flavor wasn't really any good, but I stopped being entertained by that a few years ago. Now I just look them dead in the eye and say, "I'm not interested," and they go away. Funny, none of them ever offer to mow my yard or paint my house. We ought to find out where they live and go knock on their doors and tell them we're from the Church of the Subgenius or want to know if they realize that they are going to be punished eternally by a loving god for not picking the right religion.

Xtacy that can kill someone first time i seen it happen :( n e way tell them that you could use some help around the house. make them clean your room yard etc. If they say they wanna talk tell them you cant since there is all this work. Keep them busy till they get tired and give up.

No, just let them know that you know they need validation from everyone else that their own choices are right. Tell them that you are not able to validate that because you are not so heavily brainwashed into a religion that, if they are women, says their very birth is shameful and that racism is okey dokey. Tell them that you are not interested in joining a cult anytime soon, but when you are, you will certainly let them know. It always works for me. I haven't had any comebacks so far, and I've been using this for years. Then again, I don't wait for them to say anything. I close the door.

For the JW's, I invited them and did studies with them... until they got to the point they didn't want to answer my questions. Even their "Elder" left the house... and I even made sandwiches and homemade lemonade. Later I was told I was put on a list that meant they wouldn't knock on my door anymore. I think they might have shared this list with the Mormons because they NEVER knock. *wink*

Is that how you treat the Fuller Brush salesman or the guy who knocks on your door, selling vacuum cleaners? How about the Avon lady? I think common courtesy is in order - if you don't want what they're "selling," be polite and say you aren't interested in what they have. I don't think you have the right to throw stuff at them, and I definitely don't think you shouild slip drugs into something you give them to drink!! Think about that for oh, 10 seconds, and you'll probably realize the police will be knocking on your door NEXT!!!

So, After thinking about this even more, knowing that there is
a religion ( Islam) that worships only one God , like the people
before. Again ,he too believed this. And became a muslim at
age 17 himself. Why? Because he could not accept or find reasons to believe in the trinity concept. None of the people before nor after any of the phophets believed in this. This belief
is only in the bible( new testament) not in the old testament or
the Quran.Can we trust or believe blindly in the bible and ignore
what most people on the earth have all believed.

Actually, last time someone knocked on our door, me and my husband invited them in and told them we are Wiccans. To be sincere, they didn't seem so bad, just annoying. I've asked them why a 5 years old child from a tribe in Africa, who never heard of Jesus in his entire life is condemned to hell (just because he's not Christian and therefore "saved"), while a murderer can repent and still go to heaven. They didn't know what to answer, excused themselves and never came back... :)))

I like to mess with their heads. Argue free will with them once or twice, the ones around here run scared. Unless its a child they send to the door, then I ask them to get the adult they came with, make sure the kid is out of earshot and give them hell for having an 8yr old running around in a suit instead of them out playing.

JUST answer the door and tell the people to go away politely.If you are already a Christian tell them that and wish them a nice day. If you are not at allinterested tell them.
