The day we call Saturday is the Sabbath day and we should keep the Sabbath day Holy as a time to rest and to come together to worship God (Exodus 20:8, Leviticus 23)
"We need to do what God says If you love me keep my commandments" Jesus
The Sabbath was designed to be a blessing for man so that he can commune with God and focus 100% of his attention on his creator. God created the Sabbath because he wants to spend time with us. The problem is people don't want to show up.
No where does the Bible say that there is a seperate day of worship for Christians. No where does it say that the Holiness of the Sabbath was transfered to Sunday because of the Resurection. These are lies it is NOT in the Bible ...anywhere. God still expects His followers to keep the Sabbath day holy.
Below I am going to address some of the earlier comments, I do not mean to offend anyone.
Many people say that the early church changed it but there is no verse that says the Sabbath is now Sunday or any other day. To the contrary the early church kept the Sabbath there are 6 references in the book of Acts to keeping the Sabbath never once does any of the apostles say that the Sabbath is no longer binding
"GOD ALLOWED THE CATHOLICS to go on Sunday even Two thousand years ago"
Where is the verse where God says "You can now break my law and go to church on Sunday and ignore the Sabbath."
God says "I am the Lord, I CHANGE NOT" (Mal 3:6)
God does not change so we can be right, WE need to change so we can be right
And the Sabbath was instituted in the garden of Eden (Genesis 2:3 ) it was given to Adam and Eve if they were Jews we all are Jews.
additionally if the Sabbath is only for Israel "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. " (Galatians 3:29)
"Through Grace, you can worship on Wednesday at 2Am if you want."
Where is the verse that says this? Where is the verse were God says "I died on the cross so you can violate my laws and do whatever you feel like"
"You can do it on any day, time changes and the correct denomer has been lost for century's "
The US Naval Observatory and the Royal Observaory both confirm that the Sabbath(Saturday) that we keep is the same one Jesus kept. Why would God make a law that no one could follow.
"follow the teachings of "YOUR" church "
DO NOT follow a multitude to do evil Exodus 23:2
"The first church met daily for a while, then dropped off to Sundays"
Again, were is the verse that says they worship on Sunday?
birdsflies
I respectfully disagree. Alot of the verses you are quoting are taken out of context so they yeild a skewed version of the Bible
"The Apostles Establish the law. That is not the laws in the old Testament" Matt 22
When Jesus says "love your neighbor and love God" He is quoting the Old testament (Deut 6:5, Lev 19:18) if all old Testament laws are done away with then so are these.
Matt 11:13 John's followers come to Jesus and ask Him if He is the Messiah and he said "For all the prophets and law prophesied until John."
Prophesied of what? That He was the Messiah "The scriptures testify of Me"(John 5:39). This verse does not say that the law and prophets are done away with because that conflicts with Matt 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to do away with the law and the prophets."
Luke 16:16 is followed by verse 17 that says "And it is easier for Heaven and earth to pass, than one title of the law to fail."
(Read in context)
John 1:17 does not prove that the law is done away with Romans 6:1 "Shall we continue in sin(transgressing the law) that grace may abound?"
Acts 7:51-53 actually criticizes people who don't keep the law
51-they resist the Holy Spirit
52-they persecue thhose who God sends to tell the truth
53-they recieved the law and DO NOT KEEP IT
this verse actually proves that you should keep the law
Acts 18:13-16 The Jews ACCUSED Paul of breaking the law but Paul says 'Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I offended in anything at all'" (Acts 25:7-8). I believe Paul rather than the Jews.
In the same chapter Paul kept the Sabbath day (Acts 18:4) so what law was he breaking? Paul taught that Jesus was God and they thought that was blasphemy
Romans 2:11-15. How does this prove the law is gone. It says "For not the hearers of the law are justified before God, but the DOERS of the law shall be justified."
Romans 4 No one is saved by the law but no one is saved by WILLFULLY sinning(transgressing the law) Heb 10:26
Romans 6:14 is followed by verse 15 that says "What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid" (Read in context)
Romans 7:4-8 is followed by verse 12-13 that says that the law is holy, just and good,Did then that which is good become death to me? May it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin
Why would God get rid of that which is Good, Just, Holy,Spiritual?
I Cor. 16:1-2 says nothing about worship. It does not even say they gathered let alone that it is the new day to worship. Paul was collecting money for the famine in Jerusalem (Acts 11:27-30 I Cor. 16:3) in addition Paul went to Corinth and taught them every Sabbath for a year and a half (Acts 18:1-4) that is 72 Sabbaths
"Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?'
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."(Matt 7:23)
The word Jesus uses for "iniquity" is the Greek word "anomia" which means "LAWLESSNESS"
People will come to Jesus and say "We did all these great things for you", and He says "But you were lawless. You did not do the will of my father." vs 22
"The day of rest and worship for the Christian has always been Sunday, the first day of the week,"
Acts 13:14
Acts 13:42
Acts 13:44
Acts 16:13
Acts 17:2
Acts 18:4
These verses show that they worshiped on the Sabbath Day. Notice there is no verse for Sunday worship
"the day of the Resurrection. Outside of rather obscure groups such as the Seventh Day Adventist the Sabbath was never observed by the Church as the primary day of worship. "
Acts 13:14 - the church in Asia Minor (not Israel) kept the Sabbath
Acts 13:42 and 44 the Gentiles(not the Jews) kept the Sabbath
Acts 16:13 the Apostles keep the Sabbath
Acts 18 Paul goes to the Greeks and they keep the Sabbath
Yet there is no verse where they say forget the Sabbath. Worshiping on the Sabbath was what the first Christians did it is not new.
If we love God we need to do what God says

You are looking at a verse that Paul wrote & not the old testament prophets, Paul is saying do we void the law thru faith, God forbid, WE(WHO) The Apostles Establish the law, That is not the laws in the old Testament. Turn to Romans 10:4 For CHRIST is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth. I am going to give you other verses to read. Matt. 11:13 & Matt. 22:37-40. Luke 16:16. John 1:17. Acts 7:53. Acts 18:13-16. Romans 2:11-15. Romans 4:13-16. Romans 6:14. Romans 7:4-8. Romans 8:1-9. Friend if you read these verses, you will see that Jesus fulfilled the law, If you truly want to know the truth you will read each & everyone of these verses, Now one more thing, Paul said about the collection of the saints 1st. Cor. 16:1-2 Paul said to bring your tithes into the storehouse on the first day of the week, which is Sunday, The word sabbath means REST, & Jesus said whosoever will come & I will give you REST. Now do you need more verses to convince yourself.

The Sabbath starts at sunset, or about 6 pm on Friday and runs to Saturday at 6:00pm. Christians call Sunday the Sabbath in spite of the indisputable fact that the Biblical Sabbath is said above. As Christians, we are loose from any needed statement of the Sabbath: Paul writes: "hence do not enable all people choose you with the help of what you devour or drink, or with reference to a non secular competition, a clean Moon party or a Sabbath day. those are a shadow of the failings that were to go back; the fact, in spite of the indisputable fact that, is recent in Christ. " Colossians 2:16-17

The sabbath has always been sundown Friday night to sundown Saturday night. Constantine changed it to Sunday in order to make it easier for pagans to convert, since they held their sabbaths to their fake gods on Sunday. The commandments are not multiple choice, they're laws.
That said, I still go to church on Sunday, because that's when they have services, but I celebrate the sabbath on the correct day, which has never been Sunday. "Remember the sabbath and keep it holy" does not mean, "or change it to Sunday if you're in the mood".
That whole excuse of changing it to Sunday because Christ rose on Sunday is nothing more than an excuse made up many years after it was changed by Constantine. If you read the bible, you'll see the disciples never changed the day, nor is it anywhere in the bible that its okay to celebrate the sabbath any day you want, merely excuses by those who want to make their own rules. Like I said, the 10 commandment are not multiple choice or changeable.

You've certainly asked a tough one.
Exodus 12:6 (concerning the Passover) "Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the people of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight."
This passage concerns the slaughter of the Passover lambs. The problematic word here is "twilight". The Hebrew word literally means "between the two evenings". This means either:
1. between the decline of the sun and sunset
or
2. between sunset and nightfall.
This has given rise to disputes over when the Sabbath (and other holy days) begin.
Ultimately this is not a salvation issue. Therefore, the true Sabbath is a day of rest. Worship of the LORD should be every day.

The seventh day (Saturday) is the day that God set apart and made holy and told us to worship Him on. He said that His commandments are "sure" and will not change!
Psalm 111:7,8; 89:34
Exodus 20:8-11
He also said "if you love me keep my commandments." John 14:15
The genuine test of knowing God is to keep His commandments.
1 John 2:3-5
The ones that will have the right to the tree of life in heaven are the ones that keep God's commandments. Rev. 22:14
........and the Sabbath will be kept in heaven. Isa 66:22,23

If you are a practicing Jew, you worship on Saturday -the only Sabbath. If you are a Christian, you worship everyday, but you meet on Sunday-the day Christ rose from the grave.
The first church met daily for a while, then dropped off to Sundays . They would go to the Temple or the synagogue on Saturday the Sabbath in order to preach the gospel to the Jews.

Witches day is All Soul's Day--a special sabbath for the ghoulish world.
If you had a misspelling and you were asking which day, you obviously do not know your Bible. God said: "My Sabbaths (plural) you shall keep." One special Sabbath could not be observer until the Hebrews inherited their Promised Land. To this Day, Christian Jews in Israel celebrate First-Fruits or Pentecost on the first day of the week.

Well, my kid got me on that one ..... she said (and she's only 4 btw) "Mommy, if God says to work 6 days and rest the 7th day, then why is Sunday always shown as the first day on the calendar?" LOL I had no idea.
I also have no idea where everyone got the idea that the day of rest and the Sabbath were the same day.

The day of rest and worship for the Christian has always been Sunday, the first day of the week, the day of the Resurrection. Outside of rather obscure (historically recent) groups such as the Seventh Day Adventist (their name clues you into their take on the issue) the Sabbath was never observed by the Church as the primary day of worship.
