the only reason he is your best friend is because he wants to be more then friends. trust me, if you two are close, then the realtionship is going to be amazing. but dont change anything other then the fact that you two can start kissing and making out.
we guys are stupid so you might have to give us a major clue. try this. "i miss having a boyfried, hey wanna be my boyfriend"
oh yeah, he will almost never ask you out.
reason 1. he will think you are still too vernurable and wont take advantage of you.
reason 2. we guys are chickens.
reason 3. he dont want to cause any tensions between you two especailly if he ask you out and you say no.
reason 4. we guys are chickens.
so go for it or miss your window forever.
a girl might ask him out before you and well.. good luck then.

Maybe you could try something like this: "Well, now that I'm single again, I seem to have extra time on my hands. Wanna go see a movie?" There's no shame in such an invitation between friends. If he's interested, it will be the perfect opportunity to make his feelings known. If not, it's an easy one to get out of, gracefully: "No problem, just bored. Maybe another time."

he should be the one to tell you
i have a guy that i like who my friend not my best friend so I'll i can do is nothing if he like me he should be the one to tell me maybe a little flirting but don't come on to strong just to make him notice but not be so sure cuz if he likes you he will see it as a defiant flit if he just doesn't feel that way about you he'll be like "was she filtering or was it just a misunderstanding?" and that way he wont be scared away and if your strong enough you 2 could still be friends

Just enjoy the friendship and if something more is ment to come of it, it will. If you have a good feeling about it though, like he will most likey feel the same, then you should probly go ahead and let him know how you feel.

Sounds like you are on the rebound.......dont mess up your friendship by moving too quickly. Hold off on making any moves otherwise you WILL come to regret it. Maybe not right away, but eventually you will.
Just stay friends with your friends......if he likes you & you stay single.......he will make a move.

Sit him down and tell him. Take a chance and you might be glad you did. If it doesn't work out, then at least you took the chance.

well the problem is that if you can't tell him, its going to be kind of hard, unless you decide to act like a 5th grader, and get another friend to ask him, but that's just dumb. ask him, if he says no, hopefully he will be cool enough not to let it ruin the friendship.

Have you thought about just being straight with him?
If he's as good a friend as you say you should be able to tell, or ask, him anything.
