If climate change is resulting in deaths from sever weather, droughts etc, by driving a car somehow we might be contributing to someone's death somewhere. A moped hardly burns any petro, but is more dangerous to ride. Is there a trade off?

Climate change won't kill you. It will kill all plants and animals that will not be able to adapt. Billions of people will have to move away from the coast and move inland and rebuild all the cities and infrastructure.

Statistics show that mopeds are safer than cars. It is a LIE that mopeds or motorcycles are more dangerous than cars. A person in the United States has a 1 in 18,412 chance of dying in a year driving a car. A person in the United States has 1 in 79,121 chance of dying in a year driving a motorcycle.

I found statistics for the UK as well. A car casualty occurs at every 2.5 billion passenger kilometer driven. A two-wheeled motor vehicle casualty occurs at every 105 billion passenger kilometer driven.

In other words the world would be a lot more livable, cheaper, and safer if everyone stopped driving cars and drove more mopeds or motorcycles.

It does seem like a catch-22, doesn't it, with nobody the clear winner and both sides resulting in some badness. Maybe the only way we'll get out of this mess is to go back to horse-and-buggy. Or the electric car.

Yes - the smartest scientists now say that gobal warming caused by the hole in the ozone discovered and invented by Al Gore can be stopped by pollution from burning fossil fuels. The smoke will provide the shade to keep out the suns bad rays until the ozone comes back. So you can drive giant ford expedition and excursion (also know as the Ford Exploders) as they breake into so many pieces that you have to fix them every day. Nickname first came with the transmissions in the explorer.

Buy a hybrid car. It's the most practical transportation option at this point to slow down global warming.

U are looking at the wrong problem,CO2 is not a pollutant it is oxygen for the plants. The plants need the CO2 as bad as u need oxygen. If we kill the plants we die too . It has been proven that CO2 accelerates plant growth. Don't u remember about photosynthesis . At present u can measure no increase in in the level of CO2 the plants are doing a great job.
