White bread is bad for birds, I suspect donuts are pretty unhealthy as well. It's all refined sugar, not like raisins which is at least a natural sugar.

Wild birds have learned to adapt. Keep in mind they hang around fast food joints, for french fries and other leftovers. I doubt sugared donuts will do them any harm.
Plus, if the birds decide not to eat them, I'm sure some other wildlife might find it tasty.

If you think about it, sugared donuts are even bad for people. If you just want to get rid of the donuts without wasting them, don't. Throw them in the garbage. It's better to put suet out for a better source of energy for them in the winter. People bring me rescued birds to rehabilitate and I'm amazed at the crap they put in the boxes with them. I know you guys just don't know any better, but please stop.

well, it is not going to harm them...but it is probably not the best thing to feed them either. Is this in addition to some real bird food like seeds, and suet?
