I was listening to Todd Friel's interview with Christian, Mark Cahill on today's episode of "Way Of the Master Radio", 11/25, and was sooo convicted about my recent complacency concerning witnessing.
I was wondering something. Where besides parks, sidewalks, airport terminals, etc., could I witness where witnessing is legal? I'm looking for interesting and unusual places that I have not thought about. Thanks.
And for my critics who hate people like me who do what we do, in the words of Charles Spurgeon, the Prince Of Preachers:
"Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you are not saved yourself. Be sure of that."
That is my wish, to keep other people out of hell. As much as I believe in a real God and a real heaven, I also believe in a real devil and a real hell, and I believe that most people are going there. Why? Based on this one question:
Are you a good person? Good enough by *God's* standards to go to heaven when you die?

englishtea26,
You gave me some great ideas on where to witness! Thanks so much!
I never thought about a Greyhound bus terminal, but you're probably right about it being legal to witness there, too!
Thanks again!

DirtFire1,
"leave the rest of us the hell alone!"
If you were choking or burning to death, and it was within my power to save you, and if I were the only person around who could help you, would you *still* want me to leave you "the hell alone", or would you want me to try and save your life?
We all have a moral responsibility to help people who are in trouble, especially if someone is in danger of dying, and we have the ability to help that person.
It's the same way with witnessing. Christians have a moral responsibility, given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ himself, to snatch other people out of the flames of eternal hell by showing them their sin towards God and their need for the Savior, with gentleness and respect. Do you understand what I'm getting at?
And not all of us are pushy. Some of us are very nice!

its not your job to convert people...God can do that through us right here or anywhere if He wishes to do so...Yes Im born again...My Dad prayed for me and i dont think street preaching should happen....IF SOMEONE ASKS THEN TALK TO THEM OR BEING them to church with you....let ministers handle it unless they ask you!

The best place to witness -- also the hardest -- is at home to unsaved loved ones, and at your work or school. This is the hardest because these are the people who don't want to be witnessed to. The best way to go about it is to be the best Christian you can be and listen carefully for a way to work it into your normal conversations -- like telling someone why you believe and how being a Christian has changed your life for the better. Many people think being Christian is all about what you CAN'T do and CAN't have and CAn't be, so we have to show them why is really about what we can have, can feel and can do and why we no longer want to do some of the things we did before. I'm not sure standing on a street corner or going door to door is a good choice in today's world. Start at home, work, school, in line at the grocery, bank, fast food. God be with you --don't forget to ask God to give you the right words, and study your Bible -- there is nothing worse than trying to witness to someone and having them ask you questions that you haven't prepared for.
There is a little book by Andy Stanley called "How Good is Good Enough?" that I use frequently -- most people really think they are "good enough" to get into Heaven and that's as far as they go.
Bless you

This is a question to ask the Holy Spirit, not us. I personally have done it in shopping malls, but I had more success with people I knew.
My best success was with people at work and in my social group. Is everyone you know saved? No? Then maybe forget the public until the answer is yes.
Remeber the easy way is finding people to say a prayer. The tougher part is being loving and patient enough for someone to come to you. Of all the salvation I have seen, the one that endured actually came to me.
Just my experience. G-d may have a different path for you.
Ask Him.

You witness silently through your actions. Life is called life because you are a work in progress. You were not born perfect and you will not die perfect. You learn Gods wishes for us and you get out there everyday and give it your best effort. I think going to church or temple or mosque is a good way for those who share similar beliefs to join in fellowship. There is no place in Gods law where going to church is a must. Its how you live your life. If we were perfect why would we need God? I feel it is at the very best presumptuous for anyone to have a web site that would even attempt to judge as God would. Think about it. Didn't Jesus say Judge not lest ye be judged? Just a thought. I don't tell people what my faith is. My relationship with God is very personal to me. I do however through my actions make clear that I abide by the principles set down by our Creator. If you want to talk more. My name is Carol and can be reached at Cyberdrifter@verizon.net

If you are in a college town, try witnessing to students, staff, and faculty on campus. (Public universities would work, although you might have to ask permission)
Go to a street corner where it is busy
Greyhound bus stations...if airport terminals are legal then maybe bus stations are as well
On the public buses and subways
The malls (it has been done before)
Cabs (cab drivers loves to chat!)
The bazzars or festivals in cities
You might also want to search through past radio episodes (podcasts) of Way of the Master Radio about where to witness as well. Search for "where to witness."

I witness online. I too want to witness to people face to face- and I too have felt convicted when I felt the Lord leading me to share the gospel with someone and I didn't. But I love witnessing online. I also pass out gospel tracts every now and then- I did this one time at the mall. I went to as many stores as I could and gave workers one. So the mall is good. By the way I LOVE Way of the Master!! That is the best evangelism show- I pray that the Lord will bless their ministry!

Do you have a hobby that you enjoy?
For example , bowling. Join a bowling league. A book club if you enjoy reading.
Just take something you are already quite fond of doing and join a team or club. You will have plenty of new people to meet and get to know, and as they get to know you, you will have many opportunities to explain to them the reason you are different from the world.
It is great when they can see you enjoying life and still loving God with all your heart and soul. Many non believers think that all their fun in life is over if they submit their lives to God. You can show them that this is simply not true.
I wish you Godspeed.

We are the only Bible that some people will ever read. The best place to witness is where you are now: at home, on the street, driving, shopping, working etc. People rather see a sermon that hear one. St. Francis once invited a fellow monk to walk with him into town as Francis wanted to preach a sermon. As they walked along, Francis stopped and listened to the birds chirping and thanked them for their song. He witnessed a field of beautiful flowers and thanked them for their life. He greeted fellow travelers along the way with a smile. Finally they arrived back home and the young monk asked Francis when he was going to give the sermon. St. Francis replied, "I just did."

In a laundry mat, in a grocery store line, in your HOME, in the bank.... The BEST place to witness is where people FEEL the most need. Everyone NEEDS God but not everyone KNOWS that! Not everyone is receptive and so when I sense they are not I keep it short and do not waste their time or mine. I leave free literature in laundry mats, parks...in doctor office magazines...places that people are bored and will read ANYTHING if you know what I mean! Also, one easy way to witness is to get into a SHORT conversation like...."isn't it AWFUL what happened to ######(whoever) on the news.....and they start talking about yes, it was so awful...don't know what this world is coming to.....and there you are...YOU know what this world is coming to. They might know also, but the people around the 2 of you talking will be listening too! You are Soooooo RIGHT!! People need to be told LOUD and QUICK because the end is coming soon! We are responsible to warn them!

More than 6.5 million Christians already preach from house to house each month as active Jehovah's Witnesses; altogether about 16 million associate with the faith. Consider qualifying to join these Christian ministers in this unmatched global work.
Too many so-called "Christians" view their religion as a social club rather than as a way of life which should influence every action the adherent takes. Too many so-called "Christians" do not give any real evidence of taking their so-called "faith" seriously and understanding that it obligates them to do Christ's work.
It seems that three activities can help deepen one's faith; sadly only two of them are acknowledged by most of Christendom's clergy; they are: regular bible reading, regular prayer, and regular personal ministry.
Perhaps these so-called "Christians" are ignorant that the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with PREACHING about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"
(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.
(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”
(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name
Sadly, so-called "Christians" try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications. Yet, the preaching work makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded
