OMG! My baby, I gave him milk, because he had an upset tummy, and vomitted a little. So I poured some milk in a little bowl (not a lot, just like less than half the bowl) and he drank it all up. He loved it. I thought it would help his tummy. Now he just lying next to me in a little ball. Will he be sick, because of the milk?!
oh gosh, should I call the vet? I told my friend, and she said dogs are not supposed to have milk! I put my ear on his little belly, and it's NOT gurgling or anything.
If it helps he is:

Any time a dog is vomiting, you should withhold food and water for a few hours. When they are vomiting, their stomachs get irritated and ANYTHING you give them, even water, can make them vomit again. If he is resting quietly now, you can wait to see what happens. if the vomiting continues, don't give him anything else, and take him to the vet tonight. The milk isn't going to kill him, but he might puke it all back up, and he might get diarrhea from it. Then it will be hard for your vet to tell if he is still sick from the original problem or from the milk. Good Luck!!

Dogs and cats do not have the proper enzymes to properly break down the sugar in milk which is called 'lactose.' You may have heard of people who are lactose-intolerant. They are also missing these digestive enzymes. If the proper enzymes are not present, the lactose remains undigested and tends to ferment in the intestine and cause diarrhea. Some pets can tolerate a little milk, others, none at all. If your pet enjoys and appears to tolerate milk, you can give your pet small amounts. Better yet, give your pet one of the special cat or dog milks on the market that have had the lactose removed.

If your dog vomited before you gave him milk, you may have just made a bad problem worse. I would get him to a vet and get him checked out. If the milk was the only problem, I'd say keep an eye on him, but since he was already sick before you gave it, please get him in to get checked out.
At his age, he is still very susceptible to parvo and vomiting can be one of the first signs. He could also have contracted intestinal parasites (or have one of many other problems). Puppies and small dogs don't have a lot of resources and can go downhill very quickly.

It is OK for beagles to have milk from a cow. The milk may give him a little diarrhea. You mentioned he is curled up. Does he seem to be whimpering or in pain? Most dogs do curl up some when they are resting.
He might have eaten something outside or a toy that did not agree with his stomach. That should "pass" in a day or so.

Milk isn't digested well in dogs. If he already had an upset tummy, drinking milk will just add to it. It's not going to kill him though. If he keeps throwing up, take him to a vet...there might be something wrong.

Drinking some milk will not hurt your pup - that said some cooked white rice might have better served the little fellas upset tummy (next time!)

It might upset his stomach and I wouldn't recommend doing it again, but no permanent harm done. Milk contains a lot of fat though and dogs really aren't supposed to have that kind of fat in their diets. They don't digest it the way humans do. Our dog has liver disease and cannot have any "people food" with exception of the occassional fried egg to force his medicine down him and only if we don't use butter, margarine or other fatty food added to it.

No don't worry! It's just a little milk, but make sure to not do it next time! Don't worry, my dog drinks and eats EVERYTHING!! He gobbled a dead squirrel tail on the road once (I tried to take it out of his mouth, but he did the swallow-so-you-can't-get-it thing), so I think that a little milk won't kill the little darling :)

Well it shouldn't hurt him if he was normal, but it may just go w/ the flow, the best thing to do is give him water and let him be, feel his ear if it is reall hot, he may have a feaver. If his nose is not wet he is just sick or ill. He may need a little fresh air or grass.
