Why is having a tattoo on the lower back considered "slutty" and what not?

I'd like to know since i am consideirng getting one in that area.

I think that some women who are slutty get it to call attention to their butt. However, their behavior makes them appear slutty, not necessarily the tatoo alone. I agree with the person who said that you should get a tatoo there if you want it because that's what it is about. You are getting a permanent addition to your body so if you are doing it because of others' opinions, that is a mistake in my opinion. I have a tatoo on my lower back and have jeans that are low enough to show it without showing the crack of my butt which I think is trashy. I also don't have to wear extremely small shirts - a little flesh is all that is needed to show which is okay sometimes if done well I think. The reason I got it there is because there are only so many places on a body that will stretch the least and can be hidden when appropriate and that's one of them. The only thing I regret about getting it there is I don't see it often = (. In the end if you act slutty people will see you that way, if you act like you have standards, people will treat you like you have standards. Anyone who doesn't isn't worth your time

That's a first...It depends on the person and how they present themselves. Take it from me. I have a tattoo on my lower back and have never been called slutty since I got for my own personal reasons and don't need the world to justify it. If you feel this is what you want, then by all means go for it. Just don't show it while you're showing your thongs out of your jeans. That's nasty.

I dont think its the tattoo on the lower back that people consider slutty. I think its the girls that have one and wear their pants so low down that their thongs are showing so that they can show off their tattoo on their lower back that people consider slutty. Ultimately, do what you like.

The tattoo itself on your lower back is not slutty. However, it IS slutty if you wear your pants low enough that the tattoo is visible.

I have one there and I have never heard that it's a slutty place. Apparently in some parts of the country its called a tramp stamp, I learned that on here. Never knew that.

Our daughter has a tattoo on her lower back and we never considered it "slutty". Ignore anyone who says it is.

i think it's because to be able to see it, you have to either be wearing a 2-piece bathing suit, really low pants or a short shirt. i think it's more sassy than slutty, anyways. personally, i wanted to get a tattoo there (henna, tho. i can't stand needles and would flip out at the idea of doing it. it'd be cool, but despite my hockey player toughness, i can't stand needles. lol) i think it'd look cool. i wanted the japanese character for either 'dangerous' or 'sexy' there.

I've never heard of such things...Tramp Stamp? A** target??
Unfortunately, too many of us had watch too many images on television where men who beat up women or rob liquor stores had tatoos!!! Or the femme fatale had a tatoo on her back!
Though, I have never heard that a tatoo on the lower back is considered slutty, I think that a tatoo in that region of the body makes people think of anything sexual. The tatoo may not be seen to the visible eye, but you may have to show it in a discreet manner to, perhaps a guy who may interpret this as "erotic"..

being that i am WELL expierenced in the tattooing industry and am working on a body suit for myself this is just my perception and please take it only as that. getting a tattoo on your lower back above your butt should be reserved for pornstars,hookers,escorts and generally promiscuous chicks. for superficial guys this is a bulls eye for "I like it in the rear and am easy game". let me make it clear that not all guys are sexual predators, and some of us find this attitude truly repulsive.
i have dated girls with the whole lower back tattoo thing and they broke my heart and bank account. so if you want to be profiled for having tattoos it is better to be profiled as ... rather then "easy"

I don't think it is slutty. That is just coming from people with a closed mind. Not everything you do or wear has to be an expression of sexual desire....
