Hi. I have a girlfriend that I've known for more than a year but the only thing is that we've never had a first date. I'm short of ideas so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what to do when it comes to a first date? You can give me any suggestions that would help for it would be beneficial in providing me with some ideas.

A first date shouldn't be anything too serious - don't feel like you have to know everything about each other after just a few hours, and don't make her feel like it's a commitment after just one date, especially since you're probably both young. I'd say be casual, but impress her by having lots of fun. Act like friends would act, but with subtle gestures like putting your arm around her shoulders or opening the door for her, or buying her food. Make sure it's something fun, like going to a festival. Save more serious things, like dinner, for later on.

Basically just act down to earth..let everything come natural, be a gentlemen and keep the conversation. If you feel like you cant keep the convo on the subject maybe make a transition to a diffrent one. Just be laid back, maybe have dinner/lunch with her at a good gourmet resturant or some other fun entertainment place. There is no limits.

Well, if you have known each other for a year you have the upperhand because you know what she likes to do. First dates dont have to be original they should just be alot of fun and since you know what she likes........you should do something that you know she likes to do.

Also, it is the Holiday season......maybe you should go shopping with her. Take her to a mall that has ice skating. Who cares if you have never ice skated before........its the holidays. Go for lunch & a little ice skating........if nothing else you will laugh, TRUST ME on this one!!

this is for 21 and older.. so if your not, sorry! i would take her to a resturant/bar like buffalo wild wings, t.g.i.fridays, hooters and eat and maybe have one or 2 drinks and see if she wants to drink more then maybe go to a regualr bar and just sit and chat and if she's not to much of a drinker then maybe a movie or a muesum.. if it's still to early then maybe a movie at your place or hers.. dont' make it to much like a date, date.. all gay and crap. keep it simple because you have already been friends and she i'm sure knows what your like.. just find things that you have in common and put them together..good luck and best wishes

This is so simple; dinner and a movie, but take her to the movie first then to a nice dinner, so both of you will have something to talk about.

Minigolf, movies, dinner, go karts, mall, park, feed the ducks, picnic, six flags or any other theme park, museum, your house, one day road trip..and can't think of anymore, good luck.

Be gallant, show her how your real world is like, but going to the movie is a good idea.

Go out to dinner, then do something interactive, like dancing or bowling.
