If you met somebody who offered to pay all your bills, buy you a new car, treat you like a queen and take care of everything you would ever need, wouldnt you want to worship him and love him for the rest of your life? That is what God is like; because when you surrender everything in your life to Him, He will provide everything you will ever need - you never have to worry about where the next meal is coming from, or how you are going to pay your bills, because when you are living in the center of God's will, He has promised to provide everything you need according to His riches in glory! He doesn't promise to make us millionaires, but he does promise we will have everything we need - I am so thankful that God is willing to take away every worry I have ever had, and love me forever; I do not consider that to be a petty thing; I consider that to be the correct thing to do for Someone who is willing to do that for me! Not to mention the fact that He sent His only Son to earth to die on the cross for ALL my sins, and all i have to do is accept Jesus as my own personal Saviour from those sins, and I will be guaranteed to go to heaven when I die! Everlasting life - that's not a good enough reason to "worship" ??? How much more do you want???

Exactly right. If I was created only for the purpose of worshiping someone, then that is insulting and I refuse to do it.

Yes, He does, because He alone deserves it.
Another answer said she doesn't worship her parents, but why should she? They are not God.
God loves us, we are His creation, made in His image, why would we not worship Him?
