No. In fact they have a nasty bacteria called Pasturella that lives in their mouth and if you ever get bit by a cat can lead to a serious infection. Most interactions with a cat, however, won't give you pasturella. The bite must punture the skin. IF a cat licks you, you are ok as long as it is not licking an open wound.

UH - OK - so cats lick their butts and all so what do you think. Maybe this thing about them having clean mouths is just an old wives tale and not true. I don't know anyone who has ever gotten sick from them though so they must be pretty clean. But - lickin butts Yuck.
