Big deal they go around in circles.

All that most other sports do is go back and forth.

Baseball is just 9 guys, and usually only 2 of them are doing anything.

tell them look at the crowds they must be doing something right
(Yes I know they will say look 150,000 people (and a total IQ of 12, a total of 6 teeth, just 3 different last names, or look your family reunion)

Ask them if they have ever watched a program more than once if they say it's the same every time.

it may be Turn left, turn left, turn left, turn left
repeat 50 more times then pit
and repeat all of that 6 more times
with an occassional accident thrown in.
but atleast the endings are usually exciting and different people win every week.

Where else can you see an accident, know its coming, not be the cause, or and not have your car insurance go up

Tell them "All hail, King Richard!!"
and
"Why yes, Dale Earnhardt is the patron saint of Rednecks."

Bet them you can change a tire faster than them.

I also have friends that don't care for Nascar. I don't care what they think, I just don't talk to them about it. If it really bothers you, find something that they are into that you can bash them back about.

Read through some of the questions last few days. There have been a few Nascar bashers asking questions, but alot of great answers defending our sport.

Why say anything? I have a friend who watches nascar. She knows I'm not interested so she doesn't talk about it with me. No problem for either of us.

Not a word back. If they are too lame to even try to understand it, then it's their loss, not yours. NASCAR rules, and who knows, someday some of your friends may turn around and you just remember, you are steps ahead of them with the knowledge, good when someone wants to challenge you about the subject.

Ignore Them and don't go to their level. But if you don't like that then bash on something they love.

I wouldn't say anything. If you do, you are just fueling the fire. When you are around your friends, don't bring the topic up. If they are truly your friends, they should respect that you have some interests different from their interests.

nothing. i have some friends that bash it but have found out that they are watching it themselves. they know more about it than you think. they are just teasing you cause they know it gets on your nerves

for people who say to me "NASCAR isnt a sport..." I say, 'you're right.......NASCAR isnt a sport, its a way of LIFE.'
