We do it because we are fed up with a nanny state, high taxes and bad heath service if you do not live here then you do not know what it is like, it is OK for those who have money but if you are on low income or unemployed you have not got a hope, our houses are taken by immigrants so are our jobs, I live in Cornwall it is beautiful down here but the wages are very low and so is the standard of living, trying to buy a house down here is hopeless as they are so expensive. I am emigrating just to get a home and a life as I cannot afford ot buy a home here.

I immigrate to Canada just because my spouse is from there. I came back to the USA. The US has millions of expats who go for work but often come back and feel even more patriotic.

I post on a govt run immigration in Canada and many from the UK are now reading up and opting to stop immigrating to Canada. It often refuse to accept educational and training experiences from the Uk or the US.

The health system is single govt run in Canada not two tiered like in the UK.

Apts are bigger and maybe people feel Canada has more room than the avg UK home and the chance to buy a home seems to intice more in the UK to Canada. I have been told by my UK coworkers that houses and apts in UK and Europe in general are smaller.

Americans emigrate to Australia, NZ, Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland and everywhere else all the time!! The people you mentioned are no different. They emigrate for different reasons.

There is no one reason why people immigrate to different countries but I immigrated from the USA to Canada many years ago. I still love the USA as much as ever, but now I love Canada, too. There's room in my heart for both! I have met very many people here in Canada who have immigrated here from the UK - my best friend came here from England many years ago and then so did two of her sisters with their husbands and children. I think the main reasons are because of work opportunities, the opportunity to live in and see a different part of the world, to be with a loved one, to go to school, etc. No one reason. I have also met other immigrants in Canada from the USA and I have known Canadians who have immigrated to the UK. People like to try something different, meet new people, have new experiences. The list never ends and you could ask people and get as many different reasons as the number of people you ask. I was a child when my family immigrated to Canada and the reason was because my parents and grandparents were in the logging industry and they found an opportunity to purchase a sawmill, so they came as entrepreneurs and it worked out well for us and we stayed. However, my parents are now retired and live half time in the USA and half time in Canada now. I stayed in Canada where I now have two grown Canadian children and I took out Canadian citizenship so am now dual citizens of Canada and USA.

Just about every country in the world has citizens immigrating to other countries - even from America! Australia is a wonderful place to start a new life, as is Canada. I myself would love to immigrate to Ireland (back to where my family first came from).

nicely, i'm extraordinarily dissatisfied with the U. S. good now, yet i do not favor to move to Canada. Why not stay and modify issues..initiate a circulation! Stranger issues were performed. truly, we, as a us of a, were dissatisfied with England at one time and made some adjustments. reading your question, and writing some stupid reply , has given me the braveness to initiate my own circulation.."Kick Bush's Butt out of workplace and into Canada." i for my section imagine this one is going to paintings.

Look... I don't want to knock England... but if they don't change things pretty soon one will have to speak Arabic just to live there.... Which may, in fact, be a good thing... then they and the French will be able to converse in the same language.
