The size of your fine goes up.
In my state you are fined for being over the speed limit then given an additional fine for each 10 miles over the posted limit. It can add up to a pretty penny going 65 in a 30.

Most people answering the question are either NOT reading it or are guessing! Twice the limit is not a factor, cause if you say or think everyone written for 30 in a 15 was banned or arrested you would be WRONG! What matters is the raw number of MPH over the posted limit you are cited for-which is worse 100 in a 65 or 41 in a 20 (school zone no less) same state ,same county-Pierce county,Wa- $101.00 in school zone at more than twice the limit and $500.00 for the 100 MPH infraction- thats the answer!

You get three times the amount of the first level fine, not just twice the fine like twice the speed!

If caught doing 120 on the open road, then sorry you got caught, if doing 60/80 in a built up area 30/40 then they should ban you for life, the same life as you would have taken if a young kid had run into the road in front of you

You get Banned, Hope it was 120 or 140 cause 60 in a 30 is mad, 40 in a 20 is normal though.

Instant ban. I think that 30 mph over the limit is a ban.
