We have all asked who created God. We ask this because in our world of time there are beginnings and there are endings. It is said that gravity can slow light and time down. So it is possible that extreme gravity would stop time or better yet time would not exist in a place of such extreme gravity. So if God dwelt in this timeless region which does not have to be a geographical place but can also be a different dimension, which would mean God is not required to have a beginning. So the name of God, I AM, would be completely appropriate if this were the case. It is also written in the bible that God is surrounded by darkness. This also seems like it could relate to a place of extreme gravity where time and light do not exist. Does this mean God may exist within a black hole? Gravity so dense that light cannot escape and time does not exist. Who would this situation benefit most? God, who is light, yet is surrounded by darkness, has no beginning or end. “I AM.” Always was and always shall be. Thoughts?

Well, I will at least agree that humans are hung up on time. We have a finite amount. Even when we factor in a geologic time scale-it is still finite, it may be big-but finite. We can say the word "infinite", but we can not comprehend it. WE are so focused on 405 billion years, and stars so far away that it takes light billions of years just to get here. But we don't stop to think, that all this is based on an assumed speed of light and it being constant throughout all of space and time. Its all based on assumptions. Einstein may have had the right idea about all this. And if so, all this really don't matter. We really don't have a clue.

God is the light of the heavens and the earth. His light is as if there were a lustrous niche, wherein is a lamp. The lamp is inside a glass-globe. The globe is, as it were, a glittering star. The lamp is lit from the oil of a blessed tree -an olive - neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil well-nigh would shine forth even though fire touched it not. Light upon light! God guides to His light whomsoever He pleases. And God sets forth parables for men, and God knows all things hidden.

i like it. i've had very similar theories throughout my life. the whole gravity = God in a black hole seems a bit too rational to me, but God is deffinitly in a different dimension than us, because time doesn't exist for us. the concept of time not existing is so impossible for our little heads to comprehend, sometimes i feel like i'm just barely grasping a corner of the concept, and then it slips away. it's pretty neat though, isn't it?

Because God is spirit he has no localized presence. He fills the entire universe. And because he is eternal and self-existent( the uncaused cause, or prime mover) time is a construct of his, perhaps for our benefit alone, since an eternal being would have little use for it except as a point of reference in communicating with finite creatures.

In Islam, God says < nothing is like him >
< he is the first and last >
God created everything, this universe, us and Time.
time doesn't encompass him.
Example << one of the miracle of Muhammad was when he went from Mecca to Jerusalem in one night and came back. but this was nothing. because from Jerusalem he went to the seventh heaven with the angel and came back. and many things happened during his journey. when he came back he found his place where he was sleeping still warm.
it is like the time stoped for a while.
God says also in the Quran < one day in heaven is equal to 50 000 years of ours >
before saying anything. is this not enough prove that the Quran is from God. that Muhammad is a true Prophet of God, and That Islam is the truth ?
just embrace Islam, for you have no time to wast. just be honest, the book of God is here cover to cover, in its original language.
just surrender before it's too late.

No one created God, He has been in existance before time began.

It is much simpler, and considerably less wasteful of time, to recognize that the concept of God is in any case useless (that's provable), and attend to things that actually make a difference.

If God says He is THE I AM I AM why go any farther than that, because if you do you have no authority to refer to and that only leaves your own thinking. and that would be insufficent for any one else and you would be on a mental island all by yourself. Good luck
