The best kind of cigars to smoke as a teenager is none. But if you are going to smoke cigars, start with a relatively small cigar, say a minuto or a carolina, and then move up to the bigger sizes of a mild brand. A larger full bodied cigar will make anyone who is not used to it feel a bit sick. Many Jamaican cigars, such as Macanudo, tend to be mild. I would advise you to look up J.R. Cigars on the internet, and check out their Jamaicans and Dominicans. They offer good quality for the dollar, will educate you some, and will give you a base for comparison.

It's 6am and I'm bored. So I decided to do a bit of a civil service. I'm gonna help you out. I know you said teenagers but I might be able to help. I'm a professional writer and have been working as one for a few years now. So here are my tips based on your short story... "I stepped out of the omnibus; my chest puffed out and my sandaled feet stiff and fast against the asphalt a shrill soprano voice rung through the silver headphones at my ears. To my left, under the green building, a man lounged at a bamboo chair, blowing at a short cigar. Smoke writhed excessively around his face, nearly forming a protective aura that kept him away from the dangerous world. " You just spent an entire paragraph telling me you walked a couple steps and your listening to music. For some strange reasons schools in general tend to focus on word count. Once you get into the real world you'll notice it becomes the opposite. Each word suddenly becomes precious. Remember, a short story is about the STORY. NOT the description. Remove every word you don't need and your story becomes thus: "I walked down the street. Some guy asked me for change but I didn't give him any. I had plenty, but didn't feel like giving it to him. He went crazy!" That's it. I shouldn't be able to do that. You have to have more story to it. Who is this crazy homeless guy? Why does it matter that hes attacking you? Maybe you knew him when you guys were in grad school? Tell me a story. Make more happen. Have action, excitement, romance. Excessive description wont get you anywhere. I know it sounds like what you should be writing. Tolkien had that style but I'm telling you to stop. If you want to say he took a pee, just say he took a pee, don't describe every action involved. I don't care about them. I care about the story.

As a teenager, you'll look pretty pretentious smoking a cigar...

Eh? None! Smoking is really bad for you. Loads of people are trying to stop, and new people shouldn't be starting. It isn't cool to have bad breath, stink and have yellow teeth, believe me!

Especially as you are just a kid. Don't start!

None!

You are a teenager and should not be smoking anything, let alone cigars.

I know that's not the answer you wanted, but that's the answer you're getting.
