I think you mean Wicca, yes followers are often called witches (but not meaning the hideous fictional creatures), it is a nature based religion. Nature is divine. A lot of Wiccans worship the Goddess and God (mother Earth and Father Sky amongst other names), unfortunately a lot of people misunderstand this religion and insult it quite a lot but but you get used to it!
Theres loads of info about it on the net if your interest in learning more.

Wicca is a religion, practitioners are Wiccan. It is far less a cult than Christianity! Especially those of us who are solitary "witches". Unlike Christians we don't have someone telling us what to do or what to believe or who to hate. Wickham is a region in the UK or a surname. If you are interested there is a lot of material out there including a large number of books on the subject. It is a nature based religion, we are not devil worshipers as some might have you believe. Why would we worship something that we do not believe exists? In general we are very open minded and would never "dis" anyone who does not believe as we do. Everyone must find their own path and do what is right for them.

Wicca is a relatively new form of paganism. Wiccans believe that the spirit of the God and Goddess exists in every living thing: in the trees, the rain, the flowers, the sea, and in each other. This means that we treat our peers, and all the beings of the Earth with honour and respect life, in all its many and diverse expressions. We are not a cult, nor do we worship Satan as we don't believe in the Christian concept of ultimate evil. There's so much more to it than that and if you're truly interested, I know there are many, many on here who would be willing to help you out.
Blessed Be.

I think you mean Wicca. A person who follows it is called Wiccan. It is a recognised religion, but it is not the same as Witchcraft which is a practice, not a religion. Not all Wiccans are Witches, and not all Witches are Wiccan.

some would say that wicca is a religion, but it is more of a belief system in the natural forces in nature and the ways that we can use nature to our best advantage. Wicca is most often associated with witches and warlocks and paganism. Being pagan means that one sees the divine manifest in all creation.. nature is holy.. those who follow wicca believe in a mother
goddess and a father god/
