Maybe i do ..

If someone has hurt me badly.. i take it apon myself not to get hurt by that person again.. as the old saying goes one bitten twice shy.
or fooled once shame on you , fooled twice shame on me.

if that is holding grudges so be it.. but i rather spend my time finding nice people to be with and give my time too.. rather than hanging on to people that just want to hurt or use you.

I tried turning the other cheek a few times, only to find re-ocurring offense to myself.. so i give a little.. but once the bridge is down.. I dont want to know them.

Id say no not generally. Usually im pretty forgiving and able to go on with life when both parties apologize and everything is well. I thought that until a friend of mine called my home and said some very rude things to me. Now we sometimes talk and try and do stuff together but its not like im willingly holding a grude or even still mad, I just dont value her friendship very much anymore since then. Its not like im pissed I just lost respect. We try and have a friendship again but I just think a line was crossed and its to hard to go back over it again.

Unfortunately, yes I do. I know that this is an unhealthy habit and man is it hard to break!!!! Even if the problem has been thoroughly talked out I usually still always hold a small amount, or sometimes large amount, of anger and frustration over the problem that was. A lot of it has to do with my trust issues I think. I'm always thinking that they're going to do "that" again. I also think that in the back of my mind I'm thinking that by forgiving them I'm letting them know that whatever they said or done was okay. Interesting question by the way! ;-)

Unfortunately, I can hold some grudges for years. There was a person in my childhood who made my life hell, and I know if I were to see them even now (almost 15 years later), I would probably end up in prison.

I never forgive and forget. I hate going to church because it reminds me of all my grudges when the Catholic priest is talking about peace, love, and forgiving thy neighbor. I hold grudges for eternity!

No, the best thing to do is Let It Go..I usually forgive people after a short while. Grudges only keep you angry and bitter, and it steals your joy..People who do wrong usually get it back, and they suffer eventually. So, theres no use in holding on to anger.

I do... when I hold a grudge, it is basicaly forever unless the person or persons can resolve the problem with me. My favourite saying is "I dont get angry.. I get even".

yes, i hate to admit that though. i tend to hold grudges longer if i feel the person did something against me and it's not resolved. this is especially true if i really care abou the person.i know i suck.
