I turned 15 two weeks ago. My boyfriend is 17. He is going to turn 18 in April (so there is about a 2 yr and about 7 month age difference). We have known each other for just about 6 years now. We have been dating for a little over 5 months. His parents are fine with it and my mom is ok with it (seh believes girls mature faster than guys so she's cool with it). But ya know how dads are. Anyways, we love each other so much and we usually never disagree on anything. I have had 3 boyfriends before him and he has had one before me. We are both virgins and agreed were not going to do anything involving sex for a while intil i'm comfortable(& that's how it should be). There really hasn't been any pressure or anything. We've gone far enough. He is an awesome guy! I just would like to know your opinions on the age difference.

I am dad of a daughter. I think that the age gap between you two is just about right as girls are so much more mature than a boy of the same age. I would not be happy if my daughter was sexually involved at your age though. Wait a long while.. until you are mature enough to know the ramifications of what you are doing and also make sure that when/if you do have sex, that you are safe..enjoy your youth and hope your relationship develops and lasts.

as long as you r not going to be pressured into havin sex, but that is a big age difference... just out it this way- when you were in 5th grade- he was in 8th grade and that just seems like too much of an age difference, but mayb you guys could go out when you are 17 and he is 20

Not much will be thought about it in 5-10 years, but it's quite a difference right now!

Good Luck

as long as you wait to have sex with him until you are at least 18 and he respects you and cares for you then there really isn't a problem. lots of 15 yr olds date 17 yr olds.

As long as there is no sexual activity. Y'all should wait til y'all are mature enough. Age difference is an issue if sexually activity has happened. Listen to your father he loves you , he wants the best for you.

As long as your parents are in agreement then it is cool. And your a wise girl to hold on to your virginity until you feel it is right. He may not even be the one with whom you do lose it.

Nothing wrong with it at all. The law says as long as it isn't more than a 3 yr. age difference then it isn't statutory rape. Later....L.G.
