I'm traveling to Rome for a week and leaving to head back to the States on January 6th. I lived in Rome this summer, however I haven't been during this time of year.. and with the holiday (and it being one of the most important) I wasn't sure if all of the city will shut down. Just curious to know the likelihood of me getting to the airport!! Grazie tutti!!!

January 6th it's a Saturday and then Xmas holidays will be not yet finished being Sunday the top day of Romans coming back home from vacations.During this period you'll find a similar city to the one you've left in summer (not too congested as in working days) but you'll have al the taxis you want. Just in case you've still the possibility to getting to Fiumicino airport by a shuttle-bus.
Have a nice trip !!
