What kind of wine would you choose to drink with Pasta Fagioli?

Chianti it is my favorite to drink when I eat Italian food. For me it is strong in flavor but at te same time peppery and flowery so for my taste it complements the simple and yet strong flavors of Italian food.
A Pinot Grigio goes well, just remember drink a wine you like because it will not matter how well it goes with the food if you don't like the wine itself.

Light Italian or Spanish red. Of course it depends on taste.

What ever is your favorite. Gewurztraminer or Australian Merlot would be my choice depending on my mood.
