The problem might not be with you, but all non-believers have had quotes tossed at them and when I attempt to discus quotes with quotes, the discussion always boils down to me being told that I'm taking the Bible out of context and I'm wrong, of context my argument, some Christians will shut it down.
I don't know if you are one of these people or one of the Christians that honestly enters into a discussion.
