It would help if you put the question more simply-- but I think you are asking if your dog knows if you're smiling??? What do YOU think. Regardless of what others tell us, like that a dog doesn't know why he is in trouble, only that you are mad-- you know your dog best. I am convinced my rat terrier knows she is in trouble and why before I find what she is in trouble over. I believe she knows when I am laughing at her-- and either hams it up, or pouts. And as for smiling, I think so. I think she smiles too sometimes. How about you?

If you show your teeth when you smile - dogs usually take that as an aggressive behavior - like other dogs baring their teeth.
