The Proclamation of 1763, signed by King George III of England, prohibits any English settlement west of the Appalachian mountains and requires those already settled in those regions to return east in an attempt to ease tensions with Native Americans.
(2)The Proclamation of 1763 had two purposes:
To provide for the establishment of governments in the territories acquired by Britain as a result of the Seven Years' War (1756-63) To provide for British control of Indian affairs in the new lands

The Boston Massacre refers to the shooting of five civilians by British troops on March 5, 1770. Unrest caused by the heavy military presence in Boston led to fights between soldiers and civilians, and eventually to troops shooting their muskets into a crowd throwing chunks of ice, rocks, and sticks. The next day troops were "redeployed" from the city to Castle Island in the harbor. Not all of the soldiers were acquitted. Two privates ( what a surprise!) were convicted of manslaughter, but the punishment was not death or imprisonment, but branding on the thumb.

British Troops fired on "unarmed" civilians, and several were put on trial for it. John Adams, later president, was defense counsel for them against popular sentiment, and got them acquitted as the "defenseless mob" that they fired on was actually armed and expressing the intent to re-arrange the vital organs of the soldiers.

I don't do trick questions, sorry.
