my philosphy on what love is comes from two films
True Romance and Chasing Amy
the idea being that True Romance is the crazy wild stunning type of girl you never get with but is always a fantasy and that Chasing Amy is the girl you marry because ultimately love is all that matters...cheesey i know but its what i believe

point being in chasing amy they break up over an essentially stupid issue they woudl've stayed together had the guy not got pissed off over something he shoud've just said **** it we're in love

I think you got it about right! Its only natural I think. The best wild woman is what you want in a girlfriend but it is human nature to choose a reliable sober woman to raise you kids! (ie. Marry)

In my (vast) experience, guys who have been with a wild woman then marry a sweet homebody last about 3 years before they start shaggin the wild and wanton next door neighbour.
Why not marry a sweet wild girl! All those movies are raddling your brain boy!!
