It was recently acknowledged that a former chief logistics person within Al Qaeda was Sheik Maten Afasi, a Lebanese exile now living in the Sudan.

The Sudanese Government recently refused to hand him over to the US for trial, arguing that it does extradite people to countries where they could face the "death penalty", which is rich for them to claim as they regularily execute murderers and drug dealers.

What should the US do ????

Let's face it Bin Laden is a lot more useful to the US free and alive. Nice boggey man to scare your spastic population into doing whatever the wealthy want.

The US should do what they should have done in the first place before any of this happened - go to the UN. The purpose of the United Nations is to keep peace between the countries of the world, and to hand out sanctions and discipline when those countries violate international law.

I'm wondering when the UN will get off of its butt and work on this problem more.

We need hit squads to take out all Islamic terrorist training camps, which are in dozens of countries. We should also do what the Israelis did in the movie Munich (forget Spielberg's wimpy slant to his movie)--assassinate not only these people in Europe, but also any cleric who preaches jihad. But most of all, we should annex OPEC oilfields, which enable this whole Holy War.
