You know what, when I was in high school (I left this year) I had to keep my hair tied back at school everyday [school policy for all girls] so that nits wouldn't be spread around the school. After a year of tying my hair back so often I started to lose it, every time I ran my hand through my hair I would come up with at least six hairs and I would drop hairs everywhere I went.

Now I'm not attending school anymore my hair is out everyday and I'm not losing so much of it anymore. Your hair loss could be a combination of factors, not just tying it back too often though. Vitamin deficiency and stress are others. But if you think simply tying it back too often is stressing your hair too much, wear it out more or really consider getting a short cut because a short cut will put less stress on your roots. Don't stress out and remember you can always see your local GP.

The age gap is very great for someone of your age. It depends on how mature the person is though. I learnt this. He sounds like he is a nice person and as long as he doesn't force you into anything then it is fine. The communication things kind of iron out after a while, instead of him constantly asking you questions why don't you reply by saying something like "are you ok with what im telling you?" just to kinda take his mind off questions. My GF does it to me when I'm making sure she is ok. Ignore people's opinions of your relationship, no matter what the age gap people have opinions, just ignore them. If the time thing is getting to you, why don't you make plans with him and then other plans that start later, this means if he wants you to stay longer you can. But don't tell him you are allowing for this, he may then want more time after that, just say that you can stay so much longer then must leave. It makes him feel as though he has managed to get some more time and that you have gone out of your way for him. With regards to breaking up that is up to you. It is a decision only you can make, it's usually customary to wait until you grow apart but if you feel as though its not right any more then do what is necessary but don't hurt his feelings. Explain about the age difference and the different opinions on what relationship you want. You never know you might be able to come to a conclusion that doesn't require a break-up I have spent a lot of time writing that =) and I hope it helps you.

I had a hair loss problem last year, and was advised to try Biotin. I bought the 1000 mg strength and within a few months it has all grown back. Don't know if this was the reason, but am grateful for it. Also, have your thyroid level checked, and see a dermatologist. They deal with this fairly often.

That must suck!! At least you are handling it pretty well, I would be crying to my mom and begging her to help. Lol. But anyway, maybe you should see a doctor, or maybe even a salon, and ask them why it is falling out. It could just be that you're stressed; if you have been stressed lately, that may be it. Try to calm down and take time to just chill and watch a movie with friends or something. But it would be best to see a doctor to see what they say.

How is your stress level? I know at your age life can be pretty hectic, cause you are preparing for the future, and all the other pressures of busy schedules, etc.... Stress can harm a lot of things, and can actually make your hair fall out.
At any rate, you need to see a doctor asap.

I dont have a suggestion and I'm sorry thats happening. If you do possibly go bald find a cute wig that you might have to wear for a while until your hair grows back!!!!

This is exactly what happened to me. I am 19. My doctor found out through a blood test that i was iron deficient anemic. Get your blood tested. My iron levels are up and its not coming out as much. I also take sea kelp and vitamin B complex. Definitely get your blood tested..very important. My hair has thinned out alot with tiny bald patches. Dont listen to these idiots who say its Cancer...only cancer treatment makes your hair fall out. God they are stupid.

First, you should tell a parent, or someone you can trust.

My grandmother told my mother that olive oil works, and I musing it too, but rub some in, and leave it in for a day, or a couple of hours, and rinse it out, it gives a gorgeous shine, and leaves your hair healthy, plus, it'll reduce the hairfall rate. =)

It could be a vitamin deficiency. There are blood tests that could figure out what you are lacking.
