Cause 9 times out of 10 he needs just as much instruction and directions as a babysitter would! LOL!

Sometimes they're just as much kids as the kids, so it may be better to leave them with a sitter! LMAO! Just kidding.
You're right, the dad has just as much responsibility for the kids as the mom, it's not babysitting...it's doing their job!

i think its because when you have kids you need to do a hundred things at the same time ie wash dishes , hoover floor , make dinner scrub a dirty face comfort and tend to a cut knee, keep a ear out for door bell , and phone all the while making a mental shopping list for next visit to supermarket , this is called multitasking its a thing that only mums can do, for dads to do this it means sticky notes on most of your kitchen accesories ie you put one on the toaster saying, dinners in fridge warm it in microwave 3 mins high, next note on the fridge says microwave is next to the kettle good luck and please dont put the cutlery in this time. because of these sticky reminders that a man needs to function in a womans world his duties become a job something he can do but its not natural to him, when looking after kids is a job its called babysitting

I have asked this question too. And while I dont have an answer, really, I do offer you some support. And why do mothers have to ASK the father if they WILL stay with baby while we run errands? I never liked that one-way assumption.

because generally to men its suppose to be the woman's job to tend to the children and the home while they do whatever makes them happy. but it all depends on the man.

i know that i have heard that before to, but i think it is kind of racist. i know that term is a little intense for this, i mean I'm female but i think that it is just wrong. i mean, sure the mom gave birth to the child, but without the father, guess what! there would be no child!! like when people are kidding about it every once in awhile its funny, but when people are serious about it and do it all the time, it is really disrespectfully, well that's what i think!

I don't know, but it really makes me mad!!! It isn't called "babysitting" it is called PARENTING!!!! And I wish people especially OLDER (i.e. his grandparents and great grandparents) could get that through there thick skulls.

:~) Thanks for the chance to blow my cool, lol
