How in the world did they ever get a marriage license? As an ordained minister of 15 years I cannot think of one state that allows a brother and sister to legally marry one another. This needs to be taken to an attorney at once, have the marriage annulled, and cut back on the drinking.

First of all, how were your friend and her brother even able to get a marriage license? Secondly, you knew they were related, why in the heck did you agree to be a witness? That was just pure stupidity on the part of everyone involved, your friend, her brother, and you. Seeing as how they are related to each other, is the marriage even legal? Even if the three of you were too drunk to know what you were doing, the person who performed the ceremony (so to speak) shouldn't have done so. Your friend needs to contact the local courthouse and explain to them the situation, chances are, she might find out she's not actually married.

his little sleep together was no mistake. He wanted to and he did it. It's not your place to forgive him, he did not have a relationship with you. It's also not your place to say anything to his fiance, especially since you say she doesn't like you anyway. Sounds to me like you don't want this marriage to happen and are willing to ruin any chance of it happening. If he is a best friend, and you want him to be happy, either discuss it with him and see if he really wants to get married and if so then butt out. And don't even think that she is a "poor girl" that needs to be rescued by telling her anything. If he really is a " best friend" you will keep the secret as he expected you too and never mention it to anyone. He is the one that has to live with his actions of the past, and it's just that. The past. If HE feels the need to confess to his fiance about anything, he will and let things happen from there.

Fixed very easily. Contact your local courthouse. Drive through marriages can easily be annulled by their nature alone. If he were to protest, you can argue intoxication. You can not form a legally binding contract under the influence.

Do they love each other? If not thet can divorce or in some countries a civil anulment on the grounds that her consent was impaired due to intoxication. Tell your mate that you both were silly and this error can be expunged as if the wedding never took place.

actually, yes you can fix it. Each state has different regulations and time frames - but a marriage can be annulled. Go to the local court house and ask them what needs tobe done.

I am sure it can be annulled, beside it is not even legal to marry your brother so I am sure it is not valid.
This sounds like a BS question to me.

I'm not sure I'd check the laws in your area, but in most states you cannot marry relatives, if she's a minor she can't get married.

I think weddings can simply be anulled if uyou don't wait to long. Look in to it. 24 hours maybe not sure.
