I don't think it's just the turkey. Usually if you eat alot of anything, it makes you feel tired. If you eat light you shouldn't be so tired.

There is a natural hormone in turkey-triptifan. That is what makes you tired. Triptifan is in OTC sedatives foor dogs and cats.

It has L Triptifan (not a correct spelling) that makes you sleepy after you eat it. I don't know why it is there, but it makes you sleepy.
